Dear Readers,
my site also lives from your comments. Without this, it would not be what it is. Your comments are extremely valuable to me.
Unfortunately, the old comment system has reached its limits. It slowed down the server, and also had significant security vulnerabilities. Therefore, after much consideration, we switched to this new system – Disqus. It is used by many platforms, and is technically an ideal solution. I know – any change is uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I ask for your understanding – and I very much hope that you will continue in the new system with your old freshness and commitment. This is very valuable for my work! 1000 thanks!
A healthy culture of debate is the foundation of democracy. But it also requires compliance with certain rules of the game. I would like to present them here once again in a transparent manner. I am open to suggestions and ideas for changes.
Netiquette for the comment column
- Write factually and in a friendly, respectful tone. As welcome and desirable as discourse and constructive dispute is, insults and insults are dangerous for precisely this.
- Please stick to the subject of the article in terms of content.
- Comply with applicable law.
To be deleted:
- Insults
- Illegal content
- swear words or curses
- Bullying, defamation or harassment of other users
- Comments whose authors pretend to be someone else
- Slander, defamation or insult of other users
- Physical or legal threats
- Personal contact information or email addresses
- Links of any kind
- Advertising commercial products or publications for profit
- Spam or flooding („flooding“ the debate with a high number of posts)
- Unobjective, off-topic contributions
- Posts in which third-party content (links, quotes from it) exceeds your own.
- Repeat comments: Same or very similar content under the same or different articles.
- Obvious Fake News. That is, misinformation clearly identifiable as false, sprinkled in the comments column.
- Unverifiable insinuations and suspicions
- Glorification of violence, fantasies of violence
If moderation has missed a comment that violates our guidelines, please contact us to have it reviewed as soon as possible.
Should a deletion seem unjustified and/or not comprehensible to you even after reflection of the above rules, please contact us as well.
We would like to point out that the high number of comments is only controllable for us by a SPAM filter – which is unfortunately also error-prone.
Best thanks in advance and kind regards
Your
Boris Reitschuster
